We are off to Arizona

My Mum arrived from Australia last weekend (by the way, this is not my Mum in the photo). She’s here for a whole month and this weekend we are taking her to Arizona to see some of the beautiful red rock country, including the Grand Canyon and Sedona. I can’t wait to visit this beautiful part of America again…it’s been nearly a year since we were there last. I hope we get some snow.

Dorothy and Toto

Here’s one of my favourite photo from Halloween. My new friend dressed up like Dorothy and it just so happened that our hosts had a Toto look-a-like. How cute is it?

Maltese on the Riverwalk, San Antonio, Texas

This pretty Maltese Terrier was photographed along the Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas. Who wants to take a guess at her age? You might be shocked.

I can recommend a visit to San Antonio if you get the chance. The downtown area has a beautiful river running through it with plenty of restaurants and cafes along the banks. It’s a little reminiscent of Venice with gondolas putting along the waterways.

George and Brooklyn

Today I’m wishing my friend George a very Happy Birthday. Last night we had a Halloween party at George’s and I promised that he would be on A Dog A Day for his birthday. Of course, he had to cuddle with cutie-pie Brooklyn in order to ensure that we had a dog on today’s post. Isn’t she adorable? Happy Birthday George. Hope you have a great day.

Forest Cavalier

Wistful

There’s something about dogs looking out of windows. I always wonder what it is they are thinking. Are they waiting for their humans to return or simply watching the world go by?

Don’t forget that today is Dogs Rule Day. Make sure to do something special with your best friend. Which reminds me…I’ve left Zoe outside in the cold. She’s dropping her food bowl outside the door to let me know she’s ready to come in. She’s so funny.

Gone Fishing

This was one of the first dog photographs I captured when I moved to San Diego. We were investigating our new neighbourhood and were quite taken with our proximity to San Diego Bay. This little fellow was keeping his humans company while they were fishing.
