Fanatyk Co

While in Whistler Village last week I got caught in a downpour. As I ran for shelter I looked over to the awning opposite to see these two gazing into each others eyes. Do you think its love?

Check out the Fish!

This shot was taken in Balboa Park in San Diego a few weeks ago when we were having some glorious weather. (Don’t get me started on the weather phenomenon in Southern California called May Grey and June Gloom).

This shot taught me a lesson (which I’m destined to have to learn over and over): Always have your camera with you, and be prepared to pull it out on a moments notice. I really like to document dogs in all types of situations and I often kick myself when I don’t bring my camera on a particular day. Those days are inevitably rich in interesting dog photo opportunities.

I’m also excited because it looks like I’m going to have a dedicated photo session in Balboa Park late next month for the cutest couple and their new baby Puggle. Keep an eye out.

Million Paws

Every year in Australia the RSPCA holds the Million Paws Walk to raise much needed funds for the great work they do. Today’s photo was taken at last year’s walk in Canberra. It is such a fantastic day and I’m sure the thousands of dogs who attend with their people know to be on their best behaviour that day. All the old rules of personal space seem to go out the window and you can have dogs of all shapes and sizes crammed into a small area without any fights. This year, the Million Paws Walk is on 18 May 08. I’ll be sorry to miss it, but surely there is an equivalent here in the USA.

I have a feeling that this beautiful dog is a Border Collie, but I can’t be sure. Does anyone know?
