Smiling Husky

I’ve been terribly slack and missed a whole day of posting. Eeeek! My excuse: my Mum is here from Australia and I have one day left at work before a big road-trip around California. Sometimes I wonder if it’s worth going away when you have to run around like crazy before and after.

Anyway, I have some automatic postings lined up while I’m away and I promise to catch up on everyone’s blogs when I get back. I hope everyone is well!

Making short work of a chew toy

Apache loved the mouse chew toy he was given during his photo session. He managed to all but destroy it in minutes, but I captured some cute expressions in the process.

Pretty Husky Girl

This is Apache’s girlfriend and I really wish I could remember her name. Where Apache was a charmer, this gorgeous lady was quiet and reserved. I’m sure the puppies they created would have been just adorable. I’m having serious puppy withdrawals, so I might have to go back through the archives today in search of some babies I’ve photographed in the past.

For those of you in the US, I hope you are all having a wonderful Labor Day holiday. Unfortunately for me, friends of ours had a great party last night and I think today is going to be a write-off.

Apache

I just love this photo of Apache…he’s such a handsome boy. When I was running my pet photography business, I was lucky enough to have a few clients in Melbourne, Australia who wanted photos of their show dogs. I made the trip down for the photo shoots and made a long weekend of it in my favourite Australian city.

Apache is quite the champion and was going to be mated soon after this photo shoot. Boy I wish I could have seen his puppies.

The yard in which this photo shoot took place had all these great colours and urban textures, so I took the opportunity to have a play around with some artistic effects on this final piece.
