Yes we can…

I thought I would include this shot this week in honour of the USA’s 44th President, Barack Obama. What an exciting Election Night. My Mum, whose is visiting from Australia, sat on the sofa with me and watched for a number of hours. I am glad I was here to experience this history making event.

Maltese on the Riverwalk, San Antonio, Texas

This pretty Maltese Terrier was photographed along the Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas. Who wants to take a guess at her age? You might be shocked.

I can recommend a visit to San Antonio if you get the chance. The downtown area has a beautiful river running through it with plenty of restaurants and cafes along the banks. It’s a little reminiscent of Venice with gondolas putting along the waterways.

George and Brooklyn

Today I’m wishing my friend George a very Happy Birthday. Last night we had a Halloween party at George’s and I promised that he would be on A Dog A Day for his birthday. Of course, he had to cuddle with cutie-pie Brooklyn in order to ensure that we had a dog on today’s post. Isn’t she adorable? Happy Birthday George. Hope you have a great day.

Doggy Backpack

The ways in which people transport their pets will never cease to amaze me. Apologies for the slightly fuzzy doggy. I was feeling a little nostalgic for those years I lived in Newcastle and this photo reminds me of the many, many hours I enjoyed down at the Honeysuckle foreshore.
