Dancing…all over the world

It doesn’t have much to do with dogs (although there are a couple in there…check out Kuwait). It has everything to do with travelling. Check out this video of Matt dancing his way around the world.

Why did I post it? It makes me smile…..

Please be patient while it loads…It’s worth it.

Rembrandt

You may remember this lovely dog from this photo I posted from my time in Whistler, Canada. Because he’s so handsome I couldn’t help but include his portrait as well. I’m not sure of his name. I probably should have looked at his tag. He looks so regal, as if he’s out of a painting by one of the old masters, so I’ll call him Rembrandt.

I’m only just back from San Francisco and I can’t wait to start showing you some of those photos. I had such a great time in this wonderful city. Every day was something new and wonderful.

Toby - Jasper National Park, Canada

Jasper National Park in Canada seriously has some of the most beautiful landscapes I’ve ever seen. Sadly for me, I’m not much of a landscape photographer and I found most of my images to be somewhat lackluster. They certainly weren’t doing the beautiful countryside any justice at all.

Thankfully one morning while hiking in the National Park we came across Toby who was travelling around Canada with his parents in an RV. He was such a well behaved boy that I thought he must have been well-travelled, but his guardians told me that he had only been with them about one month. They has rescued him at the age of eight months and he has adjusted really well to his new circumstances.

What a good boy to pose for me so I could at least capture the Canadian Rockies in a decent photograph.

Chillaxing

Chillax

1.  To chill and relax, simultaneously

2.  To reduce the level of stress by employing a more relaxed and groovy outlook.

I had not heard this word before I visited Canada recently, but it’s a word I’ve wholeheartedly embraced.

Fanatyk Co

While in Whistler Village last week I got caught in a downpour. As I ran for shelter I looked over to the awning opposite to see these two gazing into each others eyes. Do you think its love?

Wise Eyes

Here’s another portrait from Revelstoke. I have a couple of portraits of this dog which I like, this one with the ears down and then another with the ears up. I had a bit of a hard time deciding which I liked better, but in the end decided on this one for the serious, wise look.

Revelstoke Spring Fair

Here’s another photo from our stop at the Revelstoke Spring Fair. I love when you just happen across a town which is in the swing of a big party. It’s almost like I planned it….. but I’m not that organised this trip.

I really loved Revelstoke. It has a casual, outdoorsy feel to it. Everyone was out with their dogs, riding bikes or skateboards, all set with the beautiful mountains as a backdrop. Brendan and I sat in the window of a little cafe and people-watched for a good half hour before checking out some of the stalls at the market set up in the main street. Today’s market photo is just a little different to yesterdays.

I love how everyone in this photo is going about their business, but the dog is the one making a connection with the camera.
