This shot was taken in San Ignacio, Belize outside the tour operator through which I organised our horse-riding treck through the beautiful countryside surrounding the town. 

I’ve not done a whole lot of horse-riding in the past, but because I’d done some I ended up with a racehorse who was just amazing. He was so responsive and he loved to run. Unfortunately, because I have short legs my stirrups were just too long and I never really felt quite secure on him. That wasn’t helped when I fell off…. not once, but twice. Once into a ditch on the side of the road, and the second time into the water during a river crossing. I wasn’t hurt at all, and at least now I can say I’ve fallen off a horse!

It was one of the most memorable days of our recent trip to Central America.
