Zoe finds her balance

Canberra Dog Walker
November 28, 2008 – 8:07 am
I can’t tell you how much I loved living in Canberra. We experience all four seasons which is unusual in Australia, I can wear jackets most of the year, the cafes are fantastic, the museums and art galleries are accessible, the markets are funky, the people are great, the parks beautiful, the traffic tame. I really can’t wait to live there again.
Happy Birthday Zoe
November 13, 2008 – 6:51 am
Zoe turns nine today. It’s hard to believe that she’s been with me nearly that long. That’s a third of my life, and she’s been with me through lots of change. She’s seen me through a couple of house moves, moving to a new city and then moving to a new country. She’s seen me through the end of one long-term relationship, the start of another and then my wedding. She’s been there for all the best trips, and she’s been there for me through dark times. No matter how bad things seem, Zoe can be there, put her head in your lap, look at you with those beautiful eyes, and suddenly the world seems so much better.
It’s so hard to describe how much I love Zoe and how thankful I am to have her in my life. I guess most dog lovers know where I’m coming from. If I love my future children as much as I love this dog, I will be a happy woman.

We are off to Arizona
November 7, 2008 – 6:14 am
My Mum arrived from Australia last weekend (by the way, this is not my Mum in the photo). She’s here for a whole month and this weekend we are taking her to Arizona to see some of the beautiful red rock country, including the Grand Canyon and Sedona. I can’t wait to visit this beautiful part of America again…it’s been nearly a year since we were there last. I hope we get some snow.

Watchful Zoe
October 28, 2008 – 8:50 am
My darling girl, taken in some stunning Australian bushland in April 2007. We had all gone away for the weekend and stayed in a cabin overlooking a beautiful valley near Bega. We had the entire place to ourselves, apart from some local fauna and a big old horse that came for a visit. That was the weekend I turned 30, and I would have to say it is one of the best weekends of my life.
When looking back at this photo I can see that Zoe has aged in the last 18 months. She turns nine soon, but people at dog beach still think she’s a puppy.
