Choccy Lab

Photographed in bushland near my previous home in Canberra, Australia. This place looked remarkable in the late afternoon sun and the best thing was that it was fully enclosed so all the dogs could run free. It was such a great location to live and we do miss it. It’s funny (but also sad) how we take things for granted until we no longer have them. These days I try my best to be thankful every day.

I know I have quite a lot of photos of Labrador Retrievers on this blog. The truth is, Labradors were hands down the most popular breed I photographed when I was running my pet photography business in Canberra.

Beautiful Mia. The light around here towards the end of the day really is lovely, Don and I were commenting on it just yesterday as we drove home from work. I love this photo, especially the splay-legged way she’s sitting. Labs are lovely dogs and I especially love the Choccies.

  2. Jill   -

beautiful colors! I’ve noticed I’ve been taking photos with lots of small dog breeds like long haired chihuahuas and shih tzus.

beautiful portrait, mia! funny, i thought labs would be my most popular breed as well, but it turns out (at least for the last couple years) toy poodles and dachshunds are at the top in atlanta… :p
