Coronado is a very bike friendly community, so I often see little dogs in baskets on the front and I’ve even seen larger dogs in one of those bike trailers that you can drag along behind your bicycle.
I’ve adopted the biking attitude and can now proudly say I ride my bike to work and to most places around our neighbourhood. I feel like I’m doing my bit to help free our Earth of excess greenhouse gases.
Oh, and the other night we watched this really great documentary called ‘Who killed the Electric Car’. If you have any interest in how we go about living in a sustainable way, then I can highly recommend this movie. I, for one, had no idea that there were actually electric cars running quite successfully on the roads in California back in the 90’s. The story about why they were all pulled off the roads (against the wishes of those who drove them) and crushed into scrap metal, is enough to shake your head and wonder how on earth this could happen.
I’m actually very motivated to get a hybrid car when we get back to Australia. I must say, living in America for this short period of time has really pushed me to think hard about a lot of things and has made me quite determined to make some serious changes in my life.

Very cool bike! I saw an old person riding one recently in Santa Monica and thought it was so cool. but it’s even better with the dog in it.
too cute! neither of my dogs would stand for this. :p i saw that documentary last year as well — fascinating stuff…
My next car is going to be a hybrid! I want to do my part!
I wish I lived in a warmer climate where I could bike to work all year. We get like 2 months of decent weather!
Love this shot! I want this bike :)
That photo is darling! Yes, I love the bike trailers for the dogs - they’re also really great for dogs who can’t walk far anymore - riding in a trailer they can still get out and see the world. And when your pup’s at home, you use it for groceries!
That documentary really makes you think! I’m not Joe Green but it made me a little mad!
