This little bundle of energy was only about 3 months old when I photographed her. She would not sit still for more than a second. Immediately after I captured this shot, she launched herself off the chair and into my lap. Don’t for a minute let her calm expression fool you.

Oh my God, Mia, I love this picture! My mother has had an intense love of dogs all her life. And although I’ve always liked dogs and other animals, I’ve never felt the intense connection with them until recently. Max has certainly warmed my heart to the whole species. And I absolutely adore this photo!
