Tug-O-War

Today’s photo was taken the same day as this one at Coronado Dog Beach. It was a gloomy old day, but it made for some lovely diffuse light. When I saw these two dogs wrestling with this toy I knew I had to capture it. The poor old lab was so exhausted after 10 minutes of wrestling with the energetic little bulldog that he just sat down on his rump and wouldn’t move anymore.

This is what I love about the dog beach. Dogs who have never met before get to play and interact with strangers. I know it does Zoe wonders to socialise with other dogs. I think sometime she forgets she’s not a human.

Fantastic photo! it has everything you need to be a perfect capture: spot-on composition, perfectly desaturated colors and buttery exposure, but most of all- a super expressive ‘freeze in time’ of two buddies at play. You can just feel the energy coming off this shot. LOVE it!!

  3. This is the cutest shot! The Lab looks as if he is thinking, ‘this is all you got?!’. I just love this! Really…so, so cute!!
